In most gyms, you will find signs asking you to return the weights back to from where you took them. A great way to not only do your civic duty, but to increase your workout is by carrying your plates back to their rightful place. This is an absolutely great way to increase your grip and forearm strength. I like to get the weights from as far across the room as I can, thereby increasing the amount of time and distance that I have to carry them. It all adds up in the end!
