In much happier news today I had this arrive. Its a custom plush of my owl-monster character Khalida as made by the wonderful Holly of Professionally Cute I ordered her sometime back in the start of the year (when I still had my job) and she was finished just before my birthday, and worth every minute of the wait! Im a little lost for words at the beauty and craftsmanship of this plush of my character. Khalida has fully articulated arms/wings, hands, legs (including joints at the hips), and tail. She also has a neck joint that swivels and thus can do the true creepy owl thing and rotate her head completely. Her face has a purple leather beak and embroidered details of her 7 eyes. All her claws are plastic. The amount of stitching detail is amazing and I love the stylisation of the wings Holly did. Friends very close to me who see a lot of my artwork know and understand just how important Khalida is to me as a character, and that drawing and expressing a lot through her has been a great catharsis while dealing with my mental health, so to have this really gorgeous corporeal creation of her is just... wow.
