In my 3 years inside the New Bilibid Prisons, not a single rich,powerful and lords was put to death,Its exclusively for the poor and the weak.50 percent of the prisoners are uneducated,mostly from remote provinces,never represented formally in court, some are forced to confessed , some are framed,some of poverty and many of ignorance. The Philippine way of implementing its laws is not to be trusted,especially in giving death sentences because the lady holding our Justice weighing scale is not blindfolded.History tells us,death penalty was never a successful detterent. My dear friend and mayor HB,sometimes The obvious should be taken out of the court hands.
