In my blogging and comments, I recurring describe government as largely a cult of secrecy. Government largely by intention has become so remote from the public that it reflexively acts secretively--which makes it act stupidly. Im seeing the Newtown report as Connecticuts own version of the Federal government/Obama administrations Benghazi report. The guideline is not simple delivery of the facts and findings, but hiding shortcomings of government agencies or boasting of their responses going hand-in-hand with covering up inconvenient or unpleasant facts or areas which are integral to the awful event. Despite Malloys calling for presentation of a completed report in the name of government openness and responsiveness, the overall handling and long, inexplicable delay of it reflects practices of the Malloy administration in other areas. author, Massacre in Newtown - Adam Lanzas Dark Passage to Madness Henry
