In my book parallelism a handbook of social analysis, I compare the Napoleonic Wars to World War II. What I noticed is that World War II is eerily similar to the Napoleonic Wars. Analysis of the nation states revealed certain parallels regarding territorial conquest. Here are just a few of the geogrpahic parallels and territorities that had to be conquered by Napoleon and Hitler if they were to win the war.
