In my capacity As Officer Commanding Waterford Unit Naval Service - TopicsExpress

In my capacity As Officer Commanding Waterford Unit Naval Service Reserve and a Councillor, I was honoured to represent the Naval Service and be a part of the SAR human chain passing the Beacon of Hope commemorating the loss of Rescue 111 15 years ago. It was a moving ceremony as Dave Flaherty was my senior Cadet class whilst Mick Baker was a fellow class member and friend. The Beacon of Hope was placed at the memorial and turned on by family members. RIP Mick, Dave, Paddy & Niall and your spirit lives on in the current SAR teams based in Waterford. The Ceremony also marked the opening of Promenade Festival Tramore so get out, enjoy it, visit the memorial and say a little prayer for all the wonderful people involved in Waterfords emergency services. A big thank you to Councillor John Hearn for use of the photo :)
