In my classes I’m going to have a theme each month….. that way I can categorize by music…. (it’s so hard to pick music for a combination from so many styles and eras of music) so This week and all of June is “Middle Diva Month”, which is not the “Classic Divas”, or the “Blues Divas” or the “Young Ones” its Middle Diva month.....so to narrow it down some of my choices are Etta James, Lavern Baker, Nancy Wilson, Whitney Houston, Patti LaBelle, Angelia Bofill, Anita Baker, Jean Carn, Merry Clayton, Nina Simone, Odetta, Phoebe Snow, Roberta Flack, Stephanie Mills, Ruth Brown ----KoKo Taylor (although I might put her in the Blues Month) - I only need 5 – any suggestions?
