In my experience, and from what Ive observed, Ive found that its highly unlikely that people become Self-Actualized and learn to identify/fulfill our lifes purpose when we dont push ourselves beyond our comfort zones or prioritize that purpose with our time and money. In other words, we must be willing/able to work through it (ex. sleep, hunger, entertainment and etc.) to get to it. We have to be willing/able to take our last today and invest in something well start seeing a return on in five years. While others are sleep we must be willing/able to study. Every day we have to consistently sacrifice something, be it money, meals, sleep, entertainment or etc. and redistribute that valuable time, energy and attention into our lifes purpose. It takes a great deal of discipline, ambition, courage and a consistent work ethic to be successful at what we do. If we want to be a caterer/chef, we must ask ourselves how many hours per week do we actually invest in that career becoming a reality? An hour? If we want to learn more about positive self development, are we just picking up a book on lunch break or for a half an hour when were winding down for the day, or are we dedicating serious hours researching multiple sources? Do we just go to a meditation/yoga class for forty five minutes a week, or are we investing in this transformative lifestyle every single day? As a creative/performing artist, are we taking our last $50 to pay for studio time, supplies, or someone to help us complete our project, or are we using it to buy clothes or concert tickets to be entertained as a fan of true artistry? All of us have some gifts/talents to share with this world that are unique to us. Although others can help us develop these gifts/talents, we are the ones who have to work at it and ultimately share it. Dont deprive the planet of you! Society, humanity, our families and especially our children need whatever gift/talent you were born with to help make this world a better place.
