In my first official response since winning the Republican nomination for the Office of State Superintendent of Schools of Georgia, I wish to thank each of my supporters for the hard work and effort that enable the campaign to be victorious. Furthermore, I want to congratulate my opponent, Dr. Mike Buck, for running a great campaign. He is to be commended for keeping the race focused solely on the issues. I wish he and his family the best in the years to come. Now we move on towards November. Victory will not come without your help. Your active engagement in this process is greatly needed. Here is how you can help: 1. We are currently filling positions for county campaign chairpersons. Campaign materials, travel, and advertisement will cost money. If you can donate $5, $10, $25 or more, make a campaign a mail or online donation at woodsforsuper/donate.html. 6. Personally reach out to the people and organizations you know and are associated with. Encourage them to keep reach out to their contacts. Over 100,000 people chose not to vote for this office. I need your help to get these people informed and engaged. 7. Encourage someone who is not a registered voter to become one today. They can register to vote online at: https://registertovote.sos.ga.gov/GAOLVR/#no-back-button. 8. Pray daily for the campaign. Pray for wisdom and godly discernment. The days ahead will be tough and long. It is clear that some will try to actively distort the campaign platform and message or use the policy of personal attack. We will constantly fight back with the truth and the soundness of the campaign. I believe that character, integrity and the truth will expose the lies and misrepresentations expressed by those who chose be disingenuous in their efforts. That which we seek to accomplish will not happen overnight. It will take months and even years to accomplish our goals. It will require bringing many groups to the table and working together for the benefit of all of our children. Thus, I need your personal, long-term commitment. We will succeed by working together!
