In my hand I held my phone with her picture ready, I walked into the depths of her old village as Ive done so many times before but now it was completely desolate with only a sprinkle left of the gambling drunk men chain smoking, the little girls doing chores in the dirt and the malnourished animals pining for scraps. An abused woman serving afternoon coffee with purple bruises all down the side of her face smiled at me, she was the final no to my question.. Have you seen this girl? A turn to my right landed me in front of a woman hand washing clothes in a squat, she remembered Chanty. She gave me the location of her new home in Khmer as I quickly pressed play on my voice memos. I thanked her kindly and AMD and I left quicker than we went in. Filled with hope my eyes focused on a friends shop 10 mins away. I found a tuk-tuk driver pressed play and handed him my phone, he was familiar with the location. After finding one of her old friends she informed me that my worst fear was confirmed. Chanty was gone, sent to Pattaya, Thailand (a well known red light district) a year ago to work my heart sank, my breath left my body, this could only mean one thing... I was too late. I know I cant give up, but our plans will have to be hugely rearranged.. Not exactly sure what I can do if im able to locate her in Pattaya. I am fully aware of the risk meddling poses. No one said this would be easy... I love that little girl, may GOD and all the powers that be please keep her safe until I can get to her. #fightingforfutures #IGIVEtour #newfame
