In my last post I told you about the Stanton Library and its array of great services. Its located in North Sydney. So how does one get to North Sydney from the city centre? One way is to cross the Harbour Bridge. Built in 8 years from 1924 to 1932 by 1,400 men, this is the largest steel arch bridge with over 6 million hand driven rivets(somehow they remind me of 6 million Hong Kong population in the 90s, we were united and strong then!) . Its on the bridge that you get a panorama view of the harbour and a good view of the Sydney Opera House. On one hand of the bridge is North Sydney. From there, keep walking for about 15-20 minutes, and youll find a beautiful neighborwood called Neutral Bay lined with beautiful houses. You will notice how close and sweet the neighborhood is when you check out the community activities on the boards in every bus stop. I took a few pictures of the mosaic chairs-theyre just another reason to love this small town!
