In my latest short story DEAD LOVE magunga/dead-love/ Richie - TopicsExpress

In my latest short story DEAD LOVE magunga/dead-love/ Richie Maccs praises it and then questions the scientific fact in the opening para where I give hydrogen cyanide as the poison instead of a believable alternative. Richie says, Why hydrogen cyanide? From my chemistry classes I remember the liquid boils slightly above room temperature, at 25.6 °C. So at normal temperature in almost all parts of Nairobi, the liquid will be boiling and evaporating. He swallowed boiling hydrogen cyanide? --- I read and thought about this and cross-checked and found my memory good. How did you choose this specific poison... especially since there are known easy to obtain poisons. How was the poison obtained and how was it stored? . It is so dangerous that it is used as a chemical warfare as an agent of mass destruction... and was used in the gas chambers and have been used but mostly for mass killing. Its a chemical warfare weapon and I think obtaining it easily in Kenya for suicide purposes must be really expensive and risky... especially since it has to be transported way below room temperature. But I replaced the poison in my brain with a simpler one and enjoyed the story. Criticism has to be thorough and its a tragedy when subtle blunders steal their way into creative writing. Thanks to gatekeepers who take their time to research as they read.
