In my life, I have seen and heard of many weird and queer things. In this short span of life, I have experienced many unpleasant or unexpected things that happened with me, with people around me both home and abroad. Shocking and breaking news coming to us every now and then has turned out to be a common phenomenon of this world today regardless of country, race and community in terms of social and political situations. Apart from these affairs, in the sports world the 7-1 defeat of Brazil to Germany seemed to me to be one of the most weird and pathetic incidents ever. Undoubtedly, Brazil’s captain and defender rock Thiago Silva and striker Neymar’s absence caused the team to suffer heavily in their crucial match. However, still I remember when Argentina lost World Cup final to the same country Germany in the year 1990 by 1-0 after a disputed decision of penalty by referee and we saw football legend Maradona crying, then I was laughing at my sisters and our neighbors to see them crying and almost weeping for Maradona or Argentina. Although I was a student of class eight and didn’t understand football so much, I used to play football in local club and was a fan of Brazil. So, I was cutting jokes when Argentine fans were crying. But last night, when Brazil succumbed to their biggest ever humiliating defeat of 7 goals, I could feel their feelings so much that I couldn’t control my tears. I was also shocked when a German player was scuffling with a Brazillian player when the latter having an appeal to the referee for penalty due to foul by the Germans in the D box area whereas they had already scored 3 goals just before. Then the Germans appeared to be unromantic and machine-like people to me. Winning match and winning fans are two different things that the German people might not know. I don’t know the statistics of fans of Germany around the world. But I think the ratio is not bigger than that of Brazil vs Argentina. However, after the tragic defeat of my favorite Brazil, I lost my zeal for watching the rest of the WC football matches, and back to my teenage retrospection, now I can feel that we should not laugh at others’ emotion rather we should be modest and humble to them as u never know one day you may have to face the same situation.
