In my musicianship lectures and bass workshops- I talk about my concept that we Musicians develop a special 7th sense that is unique to us, and a gift from the great spirit at the highest spiritual level.- This sense, is very powerful and special like a super hero has. When developed and nurtured with devotion it becomes a remarkably keen ability of sensitivity, intuition and anticipation - we can some times even predic what is about to happen within the context of music, we can prevent problems before they happen, and we can, in the blink of an eye, land on our feet regardless of the stumbles and struggles we encounter. We can even magically distribute and administer invisible healing energy to an entire audience. These powers are very special and unique and only musicians are chosen and given the responsibility to use them. Therefor In the realm of competition, the is no one to compete against except ourselves in the personal challenge to raise our development and gratitude for this gift to the highest spiritual level. Once the element of fear no longer exists in all we do regarding music - we are truly free from limitation and this special sense becomes our purpose - to heal. We start with healing ourselves always-then we can spare the energy to heal others. =)
