In my opinion, if someone else is DAMN good at what they do for a living, and demands respect and following of their professional expertise with no question. Then the they should try returning the favor and try respecting your expertise and advice in your chosen profession. Im sad to see a friend I very much respected, go by the wayside, but I am not sad to be rid of a client who treats me with the disrespect I was dealt earlier this week. I waited a few days to cool off but Ive decided that Im done having people walk over me and belittle my professional expertise in branding growth-oriented non-profits. I wont be bullied into putting up with rude and childish behavior over a job I so dearly love doing. I fully expect at least 5 people to de-friend me over this statement, and Im ok with that.
