In my time, there wasnt any closed captioning to have access to full information, but I made the best of absorbing story lines using specific visual shots. There were a series of movies that had similar tone through pictures that got my attention, including Jaws and E.T. It was like reading a book and finding a specific author whos just your style; I had this with Steven Spielbergs work. I knew what I wanted to do, which was to make film through my eyes.
