In my world I wear different hats at different times. I like to warn people about the content of some of my shows. My non-offensive shows are when I sing Blues, host the acoustic night or family events. I use some slightly off colour humour at my Friday and Saturday Night shows, but am always looking at the crowd to determine how far I can go. Wednesday nights I am more likely to risk it and use whatever might be funny or entertaining and it is meant to be an open stage where people can really express whatever they want as long as it is not illegal obviously. Sometimes this means we get comics who share really risky, dirty or potentially offensive humour for 5 minutes at a time. I feel there needs to be an opportunity for this. Weve had everything from dog training to learning to spin tassles half naked to extreme language in comedy and in karaoke songs... Some of the most revered comics in the world use this humour, so I think we should let our amateurs give it a try... and if you arent ready for it, it is only 5 minutes, and for those who like an open stage with this level of freedom, come out and support Wednesday Nights, spend a couple bucks to keep it going!
