In need of some motor building advice, this has been going on for the past 2 years, need to get this together. Motor will be going into a 67 beetle or a 73 super beetle Steeve Tims Stage 1 Plus Heads -42x37 Valve size Dual 44 Empi IDF’s with manifold ported to match heads 78mm Crank 90.5 AA Pistons, Stroker “b” Style Full Flow with external oil cooler and filter Questions; 5.5 inch H or I beams? What Cam would you recommend W-120, C-45, FK8, Web 163 Compression Ratio? 9? 9.5? Just worried about heat I don’t want to regret going to a conservative cam/compression ratio but I don’t want to overheat everywhere I go Transmission modifications for taller gearing could be a possibility in the future if needed How much power should I expect from a motor like this? How long do you think this motor will last before a tear down?
