In one of my alternate lives I would be an anthropologist living in remote corners of the world, studying and connecting cultures, collecting artifacts, and growing a very full beard. Loved this article. Good reminder that how we design / use technology in our daily lives is totally shaped by societys belief systems. Lesson: dont get stuck looking at the world around you as is. Whatever you want to call it, there is magic all around us in our daily lives.
