In order to be fair Im going to leave the make and model of my vehicle out if this post. I have a vehicle that has broken down as a result of a part that has a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) issued for my make, model and year. The vehicle is still in warranty for power train but not bumper to bumper. Ive owned other vehicles that have had parts fail with an associated TSB but the dealers repaired at no cost. Would you pay $1600 to repair a TSB related failure? I left the make and model out of this post because I want to use the power of social media to get honest opinions about the situation and what you believe would be fair resolution. This is the first time Ive owned this particular brand. To date I have been very happy with the car but at only seventy thousand miles and less than two years old my confidence in the reliability has been diminished. My thoughts on whether or not I would buy this make again or recommend it may depend on how the dealer handles this situation. Please comment now. Thanks for your help!
