In order to cope in an environment of player-haters, consider - TopicsExpress

In order to cope in an environment of player-haters, consider doing the following: 1. Always handle yourself in a professional manner, regardless of what others do, say or think. You are primarily there to be an asset to your workplace and employer and to receive compensation for working with a spirit of excellence that honors God first, promotes an environment of peace, and provides a sense of self-fulfillment and accomplishment. 2. Make sure that you write down instances of personal concern that require documentation at work before another’s inappropriate action or conversation can be addressed and dealt with. Familiarize yourself with the company’s policies, forms to be completed, chain of command and processes for handling complaints and arbitration so that you can be prepared if need be to follow through on your part to protect your rights as an employee. 3. Guard and protect your heart by not viewing the negative and hurtful words, actions and opinions of men or women, for that matter as a personal attack. Learn to let things roll off you just as water rolls off a duck’s back by practicing the same love that Jesus displayed when He said, “Father forgive them, for they know not what they do.” 4. Let the joy of the Lord be your strength. (Nehemiah 8:10). Take that joy with you to your workplace and refuse to let it be taken away by the ignorance, insults, intimidations or inferences of others. That way, the player-haters will have no power over you, but you will retain power over yourself, your emotions and your circumstances. Job 22:27-28 (KJV) says: “Thou shall also decree [order or command] a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.” Make positive affirmations such as: “I am in charge of my thoughts, beliefs and emotions and therefore, I am in charge of my life.” “I rule my circumstances; they do not rule me.” “I am a child of God, and by divine inheritance, I have dominion over my world and my circumstances.” By doing so, you will allow the light or manifested purpose of God’s plan for your life each day to come forth. wisdomforwomenofworthandworship
