In our collective inability to think in numbers of billions and trillions, we default still (I do anyway, and often) into thinking of it all from our viewpoint at the center. We collectively shun unanimity for the much easier way of thinking in terms of us (humans) and it (everything else). And then we break it down further into us and them and, in doing so, find justification for our too-frequent abysmal behavior toward other passengers on this one tiny part of the whole. But.. there is no Center. And when that realization begins to break through the binding and blinding traditions of our historical ignorance, we can begin to see God. Not the God born in our mirrors, but the God of those galactic specks AND of grains of sand, of blue whales AND influenza virii, of fungi AND supernovae, of the people on this side of town AND that side of town. That God, the God we try our best to name, know, and negotiate with but which will always be bigger than our imaginations. And for that I say Hallelujah.
