In past seasons, Pilot whales have washed up on shore after a drive back out to sea. After nearly 48 hours trapped in the cove, the pod is too exhausted and traumatized and would refuse to leave cove. This is the last place that they were with family. Killers used ropes to lasso and drag a Pilot whale pod out of the cove last season. Dumping out at seas at different locations keeps pod separated and is just heartless. The chances of survival are still slim. No compassion in Taiji.
