In reading the first two lines of Psalm 23, The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want, I am struck by God and His comparison as that of a shepherd. I need not go any further but to meditate on those 2 lines. Why shall I not want? Because The Lord is My shepherd. A good shepherd tends to His flock which means He Protects His flock, Saves His flock from danger, keeps them in close proximity that His eye Always oversees them. A Good Shepherd Never leaves His flock. In accepting Christ you become one of His sheep, and and as His sheep, you need Never to Worry for He protects and He, alone, provides for His flock.
