In recent days Ive been at the annual UN climate change meetings this year in Lima, Peru. As I write, negotiations are ongoing: a good outcome is important for getting agreement on a new climate treaty at the end of next year. While in Lima, UNDP brought together small farmers in livelihood projects which we support with funding from the Small Grants Programme of the Global Environment Facility. These activities are sustainable, using wool from llama and alpaca, and indigenous species of vegetables and other plants. Great work by UNDP Peru!
