In recent days, this page has been used heavily for discourse regarding a proposed business opening shop on Antelope Drive. As parents, we are understandably sensitive to what we perceive as threats to the safety and peace of our childrens community, and I understand that these perceptions are at the heart of the discussions that have taken place here. However, let us also be sensitive to the fact that this is a *group* page, and that by taking definitive sides on public issues -- whether it be a zoning decision, a proposed law or a political candidate -- well-meaning citizens may tacitly imply that they speak for everyone who belongs to this page, or even for the school/school district itself. It is totally appropriate to use this page to inform other parents of community happenings that relate to our school (i.e., If you are interested, there is a city council meeting tonight at ________ to discuss ________.) Lets do our best, however, to keep things purely informational here and find more appropriate avenues in which to promote our personal political causes. Thank you!
