In recent decades, Palestinians have sought to disassociate the Jews from Jerusalem, and the God of Israel from the House of Israel; however, the Jewish People have a long, documented history in Israel and especially on the Temple Mount. For instance, Abraham bound his beloved son Isaac (Genesis 22) on the Temple Mount. God said, Take your son, your only son, whom you love—Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you.” (Genesis 22:2) Isaacs willingness was a foreshadowing of Messiah Yeshuas submission to Gods plan for the salvation of the world—through His death on the Roman execution stake on the hill outside Jerusalem called Golgotha, the place of the Skull.
