In recent years, Congress has pressured defense officials to cut - TopicsExpress

In recent years, Congress has pressured defense officials to cut costs on uniforms. Increasingly, the department has turned to federal prisons, where wages are under $2 per hour. Federal inmates this year stitched more than $100 million worth of military uniforms. Yeah. Funny how Congress doesnt seem to care that arms manufacturers and other federal contractors make billions in profits for their shareholders off the taxpayers dime. But for gods sake, dont EVER, EVER pay labor a proper wage. If you cant avoid the minimum wage on the open market, use prison labor. Because taxpayer money should go to line the pockets of capitalists, not to pay workers a living wage. Everybody knows that.
