The last time that the Washington Huskies beat the University of Oregon Ducks at football: - George Bush was only two years into his first term. - The war in Iraq had just begun. - The iTunes store was new. - Arnold Schwarzenegger had just become Californias governor. - Netflix Streaming wasnt a thing yet. - Hulu wouldnt exist until four years later. - The world wouldnt have iPhones until four years later. - Construction of the new One World Trade Center in NYC was still three years away. - The top television series was Friends. - Lost wouldnt premier until a year later. - Greys Anatomy wouldnt premier until two years later. - Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie hadnt met yet. - Blu-rays official public release was still three years away. - Playstation 3 was still three years away. - Droid phones were still five years away. - The most popular cellphone was the Nokia 1100 (The one you played snake on.) - The top three films were Finding Nemo, the first Pirates of the Caribbean, and the final Lord of the Rings. - The first Call of Duty game was released. - Harry Potter still had three more books to go. - Twilight wasnt a thing yet. - Nobody knew who Justin Beiber was. Or Taylor Swift. - There was no Facebook or Twitter. We all still used MySpace. What a different world it was then. Hopefully this Saturday the streak will continue. Go Ducks!
