In recognition of the new MARVEL Studios movie CAPTAIN AMERICA: The Winter Soldier Im going to list my favorite MARVEL movies in order of...uh...favoritest? 1) The Punisher - By far my all-time favorite of the MARVEL movies. I cant really explain why, but thats what makes it so good. Im leaning toward I love the atmosphere and scenery in Miami, Florida, and the fact that its done in a gritty, realistic manner. 2) Spider-Man 2 - One name: Sam Raimi. Nuff said. 3) CAPTAIN AMERICA: The First Avenger - I mean, cmon...its the Cap! I love the WWII setting and the fact that Tommy Lee Jones wasnt so much of a poo-poo head that he actually agreed to appear in this film...and was awesome! And lets face it, Chris Evans was born to play this role (sorry, Human Torch). And the coolest part of the movie? The fact that they didnt dumb the captain down into being non-violent--the dude used guns just like he did back in the day...and the costume was awesome as well. 4) MARVELs The Avengers - Yes, this should be in any top 5 comic book fans movie collection. For what it is, its perfect. Its sheer comic book movie perfection. This was the culmination of years of effort on MARVELs part to make comic book movies more than just kid fare and quick cash-ins. This is THE how-to movie for further comic book films. Joss Whedon, I salute you, Captain America style! 5) X-MEN: First Class - I love this movie. It might be that Kevin Bacon plays a Nazi, it may be that Wolverine shows up long enough to drop the F-bomb mid-movie, or it may be that Mystique is freakin hot. Im going with the latter.
