In regards to our praise, we note this verse: Hebrews 13:15 ~ By him (Jesus) therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. It is interesting that it is called "fruit". Praise is not just an exercise, but it is a presentation of a product. We see from the Bible that fruit is something that God likes. If you are in the business or raising anything such as crops, animals, etc., you know there is nothing more important from that standpoint than to have the best crop possible. A good crop brings you joy, and it can bless a lot of people who can partake of the fruit of your labor. Certainly there is much work to it, but great benefit (or fruit) can come of your labor. The whole New Testament exhorts us to bring forth fruit - and praise gives us an opportunity to do that with the words of our mouth.
