In regards to people asking about baby S (Schizencephaly child for adoption) I asked for specifics about what they are looking for with her potential adoptive parents. This was their reply. Its difficult to speak to a specific family situation, because those details are confidential. However I can tell you that Baby S will need a significant amount of ongoing care - so we are looking for a family able to dedicate one on one attention to her - likely a two parent household with resources that arent already stretched. We also have guidelines for any child we place - families can not be in the process of adopting another child, they can not have an active foster care placement and other children in the home cant be within 9 months of age of the child we are placing. There are also fees involved in adopting Baby S, so sometimes families choose not to continue discussions with us. I hope this is helpful.
