In regards to the political onslaught we are enduring revolving around the Sheriff position. Lets address the issues affecting our community. How about you step above the fray, and come out with your solution. Campaign as to how you are going to better serve and protect while bringing honor to the badge. I believe an entire community chuckles as the generally honest public is being stopped repeatedly by overachieving young guns enforcing....... seat belt violations. Yeah thats quite an achievement:) I happen to believe isolating general public support will greatly reduce your affective nature in serving a community. A simple trip to gather groceries and back home means seeing 4 squads patrolling Hwy 11 earning it. Heres seemingly a rather simplistic thought process I believe others might share. Criminal behavior is a tad bit more serious than a petty seat belt violation, and takes place daily within the confines of this community. You might need to allocate a bit of the sophisticated traffic cop $$ to put some fear into the eyes of these people looking to do harm to individuals or private property. Take s few of those shiny 4x4 squads and sell them while getting your hands dirty with some undercover teams. I find myself growing tired of political campaigning this time of year while listening to the bashing of another man or woman. If youve got what it takes show your cards, and present a solution to the problems that plague a small community in need of your partnership.
