In researching old posts in blogs and forums from 2007 onwards, I stumbled across a very surprising discovery: I cant find any discussions or opinions of the Gaspar statement by Mr. Tony Bennett - the former solicitor sued by the McCanns. His booklet 60 Reasons was released in December 2008 so was well after the Gaspar statement was known to the world. Why then omit the most damning information about the McCanns from his book and subsequent leaflets? Google it if you find it surprising but I cant find anything at all from Mr. Bennett on the Gaspar statement. ETA: I hear Mr. Bennett is now against the Smith family. In 60 Reasons he is all for the Smith family testimony. Has he cut a deal with the McCanns to reduce his settlement with them and post against the Smiths?
