If marriages are made in heaven, Why are husbands then the proverbial devils In disguise, wearing the mask of compliance, While in their hearts they wish for complete defiance. Why must you make more out of a simple assent, says he I do think marriage is not really for me!! And yet they finally succumb to pressure, Rueing their fate and admiring the single forever.. For ‘intimacy’ is to them another word for ‘supremacy’, Of the wife over mind and matters of legacy, Why on earth should one want to cuddle, they declare Let me be me, it’s better, if you really care! If only they’d agree to take directions , On how to navigate through married life, I’m sure the journey of discovery would continue, And the wife would no longer be to you A cause for eternal strife!
