In response to one or two queries - Clarification of Tamworth CC Membership in relation to Time Trialing/Road Racing. Tamworth CC pay Affiliation Fees each year to cyclings governing bodies - Cycling Time Trials (CTT) and British Cycling (BC) - and therefore have to abide by the rules and regulations of these two bodies. For full details of their rules and regulations see their respective websites. Very briefly, a few general rules ( there are a few exceptions): 1. Open event Time Trials held under the umbrella of CTT - Rider MUST be a Current 1st Claim Member of a club that is affiliated to CTT. (certain/specific clothing regulations apply) 2. Club event Time Trials under the umbrella of CTT - as above, unless the promoting club is running a special beginners try it and see event Time Trial.( more flexibility on clothing worn, depending upon event, and organiser. Phone to check before turning up for a Private Trial). British Cycling - Tamworth CC have to register their Club Kit each year with BC, and get it O.K.d for the forthcoming year. Please note that ONLY currently paid-up ( now 2015 ) Tamworth CC 1st Claim Members can wear the current Tamworth CC kit when competing in 2015 events that are held under the umbrella of either CTT or BC. Hence please ensure that you have paid up your 2015 membership subscriptions BEFORE your first such competitive event. ( 2nd Claim members CANNOT compete in the kit of their 2nd Claim club). As in football you can only compete for one club at any one time - this being your 1st Claim Club! Hope this clears up a few of your recent queries.
