In response to the news that #Facebook deliberately and secretly ran secret psychological experiments on its users without their consent, I have decided to vote with my feet and LEAVE FACEBOOK. I will not be visiting Facebook AT ALL starting on July 4th and will only feed content into it via stuff I post to Google+. On August 1, 2014, I will formally close my Facebook account for good. If you want to stay connected with me, please do so either via email or by circling me on Google+. To those of you who think its odd that Im leaving Facebook for Google, I agree that it is. But I feel that Google has made some recent moves that show that it supports user privacy (at least to a strong degree) and that they understand the struggle. Do I believe Google is doing bad stuff too? Probably. But I believe they are most definitely the lesser of two evils. Users must take a stand against the kind of manipulation and control Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook are doing. We have to vote with our feet or this kind of ABUSE will continue.
