In response to the sports and active things request for posts-- soon after our daughter was born, a sad (and very well intended) family member said how upset he was for our child because she would never be able to do things like run and jump into a pool. (Our daughter has no light perception.) A few years later, I made this short video in with that concern in mind to share with some parents who were new to dealing with their own blind children. Maybe some parents here who are also working through similar worries will find this useful. Kendra was 5 when this video was shot. She is 12 now and still swims regularly.
