In soccer, the blame is dispersed and almost no one scores anyway. There are no heroes, no losers, no accountability, and no childs fragile self-esteem is bruised. Theres a reason perpetually alarmed women are called soccer moms, not football moms. Dear Anne, You have no freaking clue what you are talking about. no childs self esteem is bruised? there are no heroes or losers??? I can remember scoring a winning goal and being piled on by my team.. I was a hero ... I remember missing several shots during a shoot out and feeling like I let my team down..feeling like a loser, And I remember watching my teammates go through the same exact situations countless times and us all coming together as a team regardless..get over yourself and your self proclaimed right to dictate what is right and wrong in the world...
