In spite of so many difficulties at last the design completed. The calculation was really hard. The total area contains 40% residential buildings, 35% open space, 10% for commercial activities & 15% for other activities (roads, utility services) Whole residential area is divided into 4 neighborhoods, each having 400 buildings which provides with the habitation of 40,000-50,000 people. Important features, at a glance- Total area-1.12*1.12 square km 1. Buildings Three types-A class(duplex, in lake view areas 22*18m), B class(maximum 4 story,20*15m) & C class(high rise,15*13m) 2.Roads Three types- a)Distributor- > outside of neighborhoods & surrounding lake > connected to the center > width-15.25m >divided into three parts(car driving, cycling & pedestrian) b)Connector roads >originates from distributor roads & finishes at the central commercial area of each neighborhood >width-10.67m c)local roads- >used for the separation of several buildings at a row >width-7.2m 3.Green belt -surrounding total area at the periphery (10m) 4.Commercial area -Surrounding on 2 sides, outside of green belt (width-5m) -At the central place of each neighborhood (width-5m) 5.Primary School -4 primary schools at the centers of each neighborhood (100*100m) 6.lake -Each neighborhood is surrounded by a lake, originating from the central park -lake width-5m -5m green space, including tree lines, runs along with the lake, on both sides -provides recreational facility close to the door. 7.Also availability of pocket parks & play grounds Thanks to the friends specially porosh, Sihab, Sadrul, Arshib, Badhon, M-masud who have worked hard even during the vacation. Spontaneous help is hopefully desired from others also after the vacation to give the design 3 dimensional view. The project is for us as well as for the department, indeed.
