In spite of the baseless claims people make against the scholars, - TopicsExpress

In spite of the baseless claims people make against the scholars, they are not happy with the wrongdoing of anyone including the rulers. The confusion and misguided slander of the masses against the scholars comes about due to their ignorance of or rejection of the fact that obedience to the rulers (including tyrants) is also prescribed by our deen in very clear terms. We must obey them in all but sin and there is a wisdom in that because firstly, no ruler will be loved by all the people at all times and secondly, the chaos, destruction and bloodshed that typically accompanies revolt usually brings about another ruler for people to become dissatisfied with and they will revolt again. Where does it end? Were not `Uthmaan and `Ali great muslims and God-fearing men? We think that if only we had the likes of them, we would all be satisfied but they were all murdered by none other than the MUSLIMS who were not satisfied with them in power. If the best of men living in the times when the Muslim body was at its best could not avoid that then what about us in our current state!? They are proof of the problem with bashing and inciting evil against the rulers. Killing a ruler does not guarantee any sort of peace or tranquility and we have a methodology to determine exactly when the good of revolt outweighs the evil and a list of conditions that must be met before such actions are taken and the very first is that we cannot do this to Muslim rulers even though they may sin. This is why there is a need for following a streamlined method outlined by the Quraan and Sunnah. Did the Prophet (salallahu alaihi wasalam) fight first or did he get the people clear on the fundamental principles of the deen first? You have to actually know and live by what you are fighting to establish before you can expect to establish it. That condition should be obvious. Did he ( salallahu alaihi wasalam) tell people to fight without an Amir? If they have no Amir then they will then fight amongst themselves about who should be the Amir once they come to power. Look at Egypt... they claimed to want to establish shariah but in the end they decided on a democracy etc. and they were still unhappy thereafter and more chaos resulted. By: Umm Dahlia.
