In support of Financial Literacy month, we will offer all kinds of tips to financial success throughout the month. Today we offer the first set of tips to help secure your financial future: 1. Pay yourself first- turn saving and investing into a regular fixed monthly expense. As your income increases, dont forget to increase the amount sent to savings too! 2. Develop and stick to a budget- a budget is only as good as the numbers in it. Instead of guessing how much you spend each month, track your expenses and look at what you ACTUALLY spend! Adjust your numbers to make sure you are not overspending, then stick to it!! 3. Become financially literate- Knowledge is power. If a particular topic interests you, do a little reading. Or come to one of our classes! 4. Establish and monitor financial goals- Once you decide on your financial goals, your spending plan will become your roadmap to reach your destination.
