In the 80s, there was a legendary thief who brought the entire nation to her knees. His name was ANINI aka Robin Hood aka The Law aka The Governor. A Benin robber who later shook the very fabric of IBBs government. He was ruthless, swift, daring and mad! Many believed he used jazz as he reigned as the Supreme Thief of The Federal Republic of Nigeria, bursting banks and even several police station at will. His main hobby was killing police men..even on mere days when he was not in the mood to rob. Once he sighted a police man, he would get that urge same as that when you see a cockroach...(You just wanna squash em). lol...next thing, he pulls out his gun and sprays at them generously. Many even believed Anini used out of this world magic (some policemen even swallowed hook, line, sinker and fish the fable that Anini’s body was covered head to toe with charms that made his body resistant to bullets) and some swore that Anini had a magic mirror that showed him the movements and location of the police as they hunted him. When Lawrence Anini was finally apprehended, he gave his account in court. Anini himself made the whole courtroom go into fits of laughter when he declared that he had no single supernatural power to disappear that what they used to ‘disappear’ was the INSIDER police information supplied to them by Iyamu (same reason why Boko Haram seems invincible and indomitable, my people say that the pest eating the vegetable lives in its roots). That is why all this rubbish talk that Boko Haram is too much to handle by the Nigerian Army is total non-sense! The president should know better and should sack and shuffle the army chiefs. He should start the fight from within his own men instead of vulnerably rushing to the arms of the US who will most definitely take advantage of his perceived weakness. What insult to be told that a few hundred men are holding the country hostage. But at the present economic summit currently holding in Abuja, the Nigerian Army deployed 6,000 men in a show of military might. There is something we dont know. Period.
