The City of Valdosta will observe National Mosquito Control Awareness Week to increase public awareness on the importance of prevention and control. Remember anything that will hold water for more than a few days can be a potential mosquito breeding site! Be sure to assess your property each time after it rains to clear out any possible breeding sources. Peoples Choice Voting for the Annual Valdosta Peoples Choice Photo Contest continues at the Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts, through July 11. Vote for your favorite photos in five categories, while appreciating the other fine art on display at the arts center.
