Colon As we begin by looking out our windows we can see which way the wind blows This burns with heat engulfing us like a bush fire in the West Around us like a contagious virus of which cannot be controlled Look outside! The World! Look as it consumes all those whose minds and whose hearts are not strong Whose will have been shook! Like an earthquake shaking the earth to its core It’s as if it taunts us from the outside desperately trying to find its way in Do not let it! Do not give in to the manipulative lies Their words are like a bed that looks fixed on the outside Look, look closely! On the outside looking in sure it may look nice and endearing On the inside, however, it’s as ugly and cruel and disastrous as a destructive landslide Out there is where you see all the corruption, all the destruction, all the backstabbing Out there they place you in this thing called society This invisible circle that places you in the same predicament as many others You see they use this theory as a way to control your precious minds Your gifted talents and even try to control your lives They do it too They tell you things like reach for your goal Be all you can be, give it your best They tell you this to make you feel like you can do anything you set your mind to Brothers and Sisters realize that it’s not man that gives the stamp of approval It’s not man that gives you your precious minds, gifted talents Nor’ is it man that fills your soul Jesus, it is Jesus that gives you these talents, that gives you your minds and who fills your soul Out there is where the weak shall perish Out there is where the weak can only look in from the outside but can never walk through those doors invited or not! Out there is where the weak say things like I can’t do it, it’s too hard Brothers and Sisters understand that while we are strong in here out there we are weak In here we can tell our enemies get off me Out there we don’t have the courage to say such a thing Because out there, LOOK! Their faces, their slouched shoulders Fear, is what has taken over their lives Fear, is what has taken control of their future Fear, is what has placed them in the same predicaments many others have paid the price for We are here Upon this ark standing strong with our friends, our families Our loved ones Understand that if we as a whole do not stand strong then we too can be like them The weak, unsure, unsafe, unfruitful individuals who die alone As I said IT tries to find any reason to find its way in If you let it then you have given up As the saying goes, when the tough gets going the going gets tough So what is it going to be? Here? Where you can be the tough, courageous individuals who will keep your precious minds and your beautiful hearts and keep your souls? Are you going to fall where the wind blows and kicks the dust? Here or out there, In the Cradle of all Fears? The Cradle of all Fears …
