In the High Sierras of Northern California, new crystals have been found and identified by the Native American Indians as ancient healing stones. Their structure is glass-like in appearance and they resemble volcanic obsidian. They range in shades from clear to dark in a variety of colors: green, blue, yellow, amber, and root beer brown. The Andara crystals surfaced following an earthquake in the mid 1960’s. Since then, rain, snow, and earth-shifts have covered the crystal deposits leaving a small remnant to be gathered for distribution. Many of the light colored crystals have an opalescence that creates a rainbow effect. One of the most mysterious qualities of these crystals is their ability to change colors. The “clear” stones tend to change colors between shades of blue, green, and champaign yellow depending on what they are being used to accomplish. Andara Crystals are heliocentric; they absorb and reflect light. They are healing to gaze into while holding in natural sunlight. Doing this helps to bring your consciousness into more intimate contact with the Andarean consciousness.
