In the UK we have a General Election in May.It seems as if the campaigning began a long, long time ago though.Speaking to friends & people I meet, mainly in London but also on further afield in social media - it seems to me that most people are clear about who they would not be voting for.. & pretty much who they will be voting for. Decisions have been made . Ive not come across swinging voters . Although I hear that none of the parties are held in high esteem,Farrage seems to feature in every conversation along with talk of voting for UKIP with disparaging comments about the EEC & immigration .. Ed ( Labour ) appears to have the very least affection, rightly or wrongly it doesnt seem to be about political -but always his persona/image that people talk about. .. Wallace & Gromit & a certain bacon sandwich.. that doesnt bode well, i often hear the story about the note left by Liam Byrne, who was Chief Secretary to the Treasury in the Labour Government, who wrote a letter to his successor. When I arrived at my desk on the very first day as Chief Secretary,I found a letter from the previous chief secretary to give me some advice, I assumed, on how I conduct myself over the months ahead. Unfortunately, when I opened it, it was a one-sentence letter which simply said Dear Chief Secretary, Im afraid to tell you theres no money left, which was honest but slightly less helpful advice than I had been expecting. Although not liked, it seems that The Conservatives & possibly some combination of UKIP may be the next administration & the Liberals... well ..I never hear a mention of them. :)
