In the book, Creation, it says: English theologian, William Paley, was the first person in recent centuries who articulated the argument from design... There cannot be design without a designer. Paley argued that a man who discovered a watch while walking in the forest would be forced by logic and common sense to acknowledge that the complexity, the materials and the obvious and purposeful and intricate design of the watch capable of measuring the precise passage of time led to the logical conclusion that there must be an intelligent purposeful watchmaker...Paley wrote, the contrivances of nature surpass the contrivances of art, in the complexity, subtlety and curiosity of the mechanism. So, you wouldnt say that, through the eons of time, as winds blew, as sand swept across the ground, that one day this beautiful watch began forming and after millions of years it became this perfectly made watch. no, you would not think such a foolish thought. the wrist that wears the watch is far more complex. to see all the order around us, it is so very apparent that there must be a designer. just as the watch obviously had a designer, so do we.
