In the capacity of Legal Adviser, the Jammu and Kashmir General Line Teachers Forum, I would like to invite the attention of all the respected members of the forum in particular and the ReT brothers in general towards the following facts: 1. That, both the groups (GLTs and ReTs) belong to the same fraternity of government Service and as such have common goals, common motives and responsibilities. We are the different sides of the same coin. 2. That, as part of Teaching community, we must restrain from mud sledging, allegations and counter allegation to each other and give respect to each others feeling and positions. Since we are living in Democratic conditions and do posses Freedom of Speech, but that does not mean we shall use it irresponsibly. 3. That, due to the Government shortsightedness and mismanagement and due to misleading of our sentiments and unilateral pursuing of demands by the existing trade unions, a wedge of difference has been created between the two groups, which stand virtually divided. 4. That, the allegations and counter allegations by the teachers is most unfortunate and unwarranted gestures from such respectable section of a society and it sends wrong signals to the society. 5. That, the GLTs stand is against the Government Decision, which adversely affects the career and promotion opportunities of GLTs and not against our ReTs brothers. 6. That, GLTs are fighting for the protection and security of their service and fundamental rights against the Government and are not against any benefit extended to ReTs or any other community. 7. That, GLTs have never interfered and will never interfere in the demands put forth by ReTs or other such groups, even if it endangered or endangers the legitimate fundamental rights of GLTs. Once we have felt isolated and discriminated, we have raised our concern before the Government and authorities, but not with any community. So it is highly unfair and illegitimate if, someone is trying to interfere in and sabotage our demands. So it is requested to our ReT brothers/sisters in particular and other sections of the department in general to stay out of our demands and do not interfere in our issues. If you have any objections and reservations with regard to our demands, you shall project the same before the competent authorities. All the GLTs are humbly requested to refrain from posting any unwarranted comments, posts and likes on this page, which are provocative, abusive or non-constitutional and are also directed not to ignore every such comment from any ReTs or others.
