In the confrontation between the stream and the rock, the stream always wins - not through strength but by perseverance. We all know and understand the incredible density and strength of a rock and how early man used a rock as a tool, weapon, or perhaps as a cooking utensil. People with strong character qualities are often metaphorically referred to as the rock of their family. In contrast, that strength, consider what rocks look like when exposed to the constant movement of water running over those rocks in a rushing riverbed stream. The rocks strong corners have been worn down, rounded, smoothed and shaped by the constant movement of water. So goes your life if your character quality of perseverance matches that of water, continually moving over the rough spots of life without hesitation toward your goal and hearts desire.
